When a quality management plan is developed for a project, it is necessary to implement the plan by performing the quality related activities. The quality related activities must be according to the organization's quality policy. This process of translation from the plan to the quality activities is called managing quality. By managing quality effectively, the chances of fulfilling the quality objectives become higher. The data and results of the quality control processes is used in order to manage quality. Quality must be managed throughout the project's life cycle. Managing quality is sometimes referred to as quality assurance. Quality assurance is considered to be the work of everybody that includes project manager, project team, and the key stakeholders, but the level of participation in quality assurance varies.
