Logistics support is a term given to providing maintenance, repair and support to project deliverables after they are provided to the customers. Logistics support is provided throughout the life cycle of the deliverables. Logistic support is performed in the cases of material projects (a type of project). Customers expects to get maintenance and other services from the contractor on the deliverables of the material projects. Logistics support has several elements out of which training support is one. Sometimes, the deliverables are technical in nature e.g. a complicated machine, or a computer software. These types of deliverables require special training to be operated. The procedures, methods, devices used to train the people in order to understand the technicalities of the deliverable and easily use it are called training support. Training support can be related to operating, maintaining, or installing the deliverable.
