Excellence Definition:

Excellence Notes:

Different types of projects are carried out by organizations. Some become successful while others may fail. Although failure is not a bad thing altogether, but the reputation of a project organization depend upon the number of successful projects carried out by it. Excellence is said to be achieved when an organization successfully completes a large number of projects in a time frame. It is possible that an organization is mature but it may not have achieved excellence. In the context of excellence, success is considered as doing what is best for both the organization and the customer. If all the projects carried out by an organization are successful, it does not mean that the organization is excellent in project management but this shows that the organization is not carrying out enough projects. This means that even after achieving excellence, failure of some projects is inevitable.
