To conduct procurement effectively, an important interpersonal skill used is negotiation. Negotiation is a formal or informal dialogue between two or more parties that is aimed to reach to agreement or consensus through which all the parties get benefited. In case of procurement, negotiations involve the terms and conditions that must be agreed to in order to sign a purchasing contract. During procurement negotiations, the rights and obligations of both the parties are discussed. Negotiations for procurement re performed by the responsible member of the procurement team who also possess the authority of signing the contract. Negotiations are concluded with signing the contract.
