Free Radical Notes:
A free radical is a chemical species which is highly reactive and carries no charge. It contains a single unpaired electron in an orbital. Due to the presence of this unpaired lone electron, a free radical is extremely reactive. Free radicals are short-lived. They can be produced by photolysis or pyrolysis.
