The Faraday constant, F, is a physical constant. This constant is equal to the total electric charge carried by one mole of electrons. It was named after the English scientist Michael Faraday. The value of F was determined by an experiment. In this experiment, the mass of silver deposited in an electrochemical reaction was measured. The amount and duration of current were known. Faraday constant is also related to Avogadro's number.
