Faraday's first law states that the mass of a substance produced at an electrode during electrolysis is proportional to the quantity of electricity passed in coulombs.

Faraday's First Law Notes:
According to faraday's first law, the mass of the substance (m) deposited at any electrode is directly proportional to the quantity of electricity or charge (Q) passed. It can be represented mathematically by m ∝ Q. Removing the proportionality sign gives us m=ZQ where m is mass in grams, Q is charge in coulombs and Z is the constant of proportionality.
