Double Covalent Bond Definition:
Two shared pairs of electrons bonding two atoms together is called double covalent bond.

Double Covalent Bond Notes:
When two pairs of electrons are shared between bonding atoms rather than just one pair, it is said to be a double covalent bond. It means that there is a sharing of four electrons in total. We can consider the example of two oxygen atoms. They can both achieve stable structures by sharing two pairs of electrons thus they form a double covalent bond. Another example is of Ethene which has a double bond between the two carbon atoms.
