Electrode Potential Notes:
Electrode potential can be defined as the difference between the charge on an electrode and the charge in the solution. It is measured in volts. We can say that electrode potential (commonly known as Voltage) is the strength of the push or pull on electrons by the reactants in a redox reaction (reaction that involves transfer of electrons). Electrode potential is the measure of the tendency to gain electrons (i.e. undergo reduction). It is also called reduction potential.
