Halogens Notes:
In a periodic table, the elements that belong to group VII are called halogens. The halogen elements are fluorine (F), chlorine (Cl), bromine (Br), iodine (I), astatine (At), and tennessine (Ts). Halogens show physical and chemical properties of non-metals. They have relatively low melting and boiling points. Fluorine and chlorine are gases, bromine is a liquid, and iodine is a solid. Oxidation number of halogens is -1.
