True breeding Notes:
A true breeding is a kind of breeding wherein the parents would produce offspring that would carry the same phenotype. This means that the parents are homozygous for every trait and have not been bred with a different kind of variety. True breeding plants are used for example to preserve some features in the plants or to keep the variety intact which may have a higher market value.
