Material project is a type of project which requires services and maintenance of the project deliverables even after they are provided to the customer. Some deliverables may need service throughout their life cycle. The process of providing maintenance and support to the provided deliverables is called logistic support. Different elements are involved in logistics support. One of the elements of logistic support is support equipment. In order to maintain or repair a deliverable, some tools are to be used. Support equipment involves all the machines, tools, fixtures, and other equipment used to perform logistic support. This means that the equipment used to operate, test and maintain the deliverables is called support equipment.
