Stereotyping Notes:
Stereotyping shows a generalized opinion about a group of people. Stereotyping can be done based on ethnicity, language, race, gender etc. Stereotyping combines people into a group and impose some characteristics to all the members of the group even though some of them do not possess those. Based on the diversity, it is not appropriate to consider a group of people less worthy of a particular task. For example, a females can be stereotyped as not being able to perform challenging or physical tasks because they are less strong. Stereotyping in project groups can lead to lack of interest of the stereotyped group in project tasks.
