Every member of the project team has a different mind set. This mind set can be a result of differing backgrounds, cultures, positions within the team and level of knowledge and expertise. Based on this fact, conflicts become a part of the project team. One of the approach used to handle conflict is Collaborating/Confronting/Problem-Solving approach. In this approach, the conflict is directly confronted. Value is placed on both, the outcome and the relationship between the members. It is necessary to resolve the conflict and to maintain the relationship side by side. The differences are worked out to get a possible appropriate solution. Both the parties exchange information openly regarding the conflict from their own perspective. Through this approach, it is tried to understand the other party's point of view.
