When individuals from different backgrounds possessing different set of skills come together to work on a goal, they form a team. The members of a project team are dependent on each other with respect to their roles and responsibilities. All the members of the team must work together to achieve the common goals and objectives of the project. A project team can have members with different demographics and this diversity in the team should not affect its performance adversely. A project team is led by a project manager who guides the team towards the objective. A project team can further be divided into sub teams having a separate leader each. Project teams are usually formed for a specific period of time.
