Technical data is referred to as recorded information regardless of form or character of a scientific or technical nature.

Technical Data Notes:
There are different types of project. The project types are based on the type of deliverable provided to the customer. A project type called material project is the one that involves maintenance of provided deliverables after they are provided to the customer and the customer accepts them. Logistics support is a term given to this process of maintenance and support of the deliverables. Out of several different elements of logistics support, one is called technical data. Sometimes, the deliverables are technical in nature e.g. a complicated machine, or a computer software. The information and details regarding the deliverable's usage is called technical data. Technical data can include the documentation related to the technical deliverable, an example of which is user manual.
