Project Management Process Notes:
When a potential project is identified, it must be managed effectively for its successful completion. A step by step approach to manage a project is called project management process. Several steps are involved in the said process. First of all, the objectives of the project are identified clearly. After that, the project is divided into tasks and activities through work breakdown structure (WBS). The tasks and activities are defined properly. Then the activities or tasks are represented graphically with the dependencies and the sequence with which the activities must be performed using a technique called activity network diagram. The time duration of each activity is estimated. Then the cost for performing the tasks is estimated. Finally, a project schedule is made and the budget is calculated to check if the project is feasible by all means.
