Project management is basically the application of different tools and skills etc. to carry out a project. As project management is the basis of a project, a project management plan must be developed for a particular project. Project management plan is a detailed document that shows how the overall project will be carried out, monitored, controlled and closed. A project management plan integrates all the aspects of a project and compile them into a single document. Different sub-plans and baseline plans collectively make up the project management plan. The sub-plans/subsidiary plans and the baselines included in the project management plan are risk management plan, scope management plan, communications management plan, cost management plan, scope, schedule and cost baselines etc.
