After the project schedule is developed, it must be managed well. The project schedule must be monitored, the status of the project be checked and the project schedule must be changed accordingly. The work performance data related to the status of the project schedule is gathered and must be analyzed. One way of analyzing the collected information/data is called iteration burn down chart. Iteration burn down chart is a graphical representation of the work that is left to be performed till a specific time period. The iteration burn down chart shows iteration time on x-axis and the remaining work on y-axis. The chart shows three lines; actual remaining work, ideal remaining work, and forecasted remaining work (trend line).
