Gantt Chart Notes:
A Gantt chart is a technique used for network planning. Developed in 1900's, it is the simplest tool of network planning and is most commonly used due to its simplicity. A Gantt chart combines planning and scheduling of the project activities. It is like a bar chart. The vertical axis of the Gantt chart lists activities while the horizontal axis shows time. The length of each bar shows the time duration for that particular activity. The activities are displayed in a way that shows that which activity cannot start before finishing others and the concurrent activities are also displayed. However, the interdependencies of the activities are not shown in the Gantt chart.
