There are some factors in any occupation that are stressful for the individual who is performing the job. These factors can include little authority, deadlines, overload, demand of perfection, responsibility of the subordinates' actions etc. A project manager faces all these factors in his/her job and many more. A project manager may feel stressful which can produce many results. One of them is referred to as feeling rejected. As the name indicates, feeling rejected results from weak relationship with the senior management, executives, other line managers or customers. The feeling of rejection takes place when the decisions and opinions of the project manager are not valued and the person with more authority or at high level of the hierarchy considers his/her opinion better than the project manager. As project manager is responsible for everything going on within the project, he/she gets demoralized when proper value is not given to his/her words.
