Theory X Notes:
There can be different ways to perform the principals and functions of management. These ways depend upon the management philosophy used by the project manager. One way of guiding and motivation the project team members is called Theory X. Theory X refer to the assumption that employees cannot work well if they are not continuously instructed and monitored. Theory X assumes that the workers are always lazy and cannot perform well without guidance. Some other assumptions of Theory X are the workers dislike their work and they try to avoid work whenever it is possible for them, the workers must be threatened by punishments and penalties to make them complete their tasks, and team members/workers try to avoid any additional responsibility and constantly needs supervision.
