Discretionary Dependencies Definition:

Discretionary Dependencies Notes:

After the project related activities are identified and listed, their sequence is established using a network diagram. A network diagram helps to establish the dependencies among the activities. Dependencies show that the two elements or activities cannot be performed with the help of each other and theose activities must follow the sequence. Dependencies can be divided into three types. One of them is called discretionary dependency. A discretionary dependency is the one that is developed by the project team itself. Discretionary dependency shows how the project team perceives the project and their expectation regarding how the project should be carried out. The discretionary dependency is considered in the project schedule and is based upon the experience and knowledge of the team.
