Electrovalent Bond Notes:
An electrovalent bond is defined as a chemical bond formed between ions of opposite charge. This means that in order to have this type of bonding, it is necessary to have to ions that possess the opposite charges. For example, in Sodium chloride, Sodium possesses positive charge while Chloride has negative charge. They combine together and form an electrovalent bond and the product that we have is Sodium Chloride. Sodium Iodide, Lithium Chloride, Sodium Bromide etc. are other examples.
