Element Notes:
An element can be defined as one of a class of substances that cannot be separated into simpler substances by chemical means. We can say that an element is a substance in which all the atoms have the same number of protons. It consists of only one type of atom. It can not be decomposed into simpler substances. Examples of elements are Oxygen, Hydrogen, Carbon, Nitrogen etc.
