Ovulation Notes:
Ovulation is the discharge of eggs from the ovaries. This even happens when ovarian follicles break and release the secondary oocyte ovarian cells. After ovulation the egg is available to be fertilized by sperm in case of intercourse. In addition, the endometrium is thickened and becomes more vascular to be able to receive a fertilized egg. If no conception occurs, the uterine lining as well as blood will shed and form the period.
