Involuntary Services Notes:
Just like products, services should also be of high quality. The services are of two types, voluntary services and involuntary services. Usually, customers want to get specific services and come to the service providing organizations by choice. They expect something unique of a service. Services provided in restaurants, telecom industry, coffee shops, hotels etc. are voluntary services. However, sometimes, services provided to the people are involuntary and the customers do not select them by choice. Involuntary services include hospitals, prisons etc. where people do not go by choice. For example, a prisoner is a customer of a prison and the prison guards and warden are the service providers.
