Start to Start Notes:

It is necessary to understand the relationship between the activities associated with the project when the project schedule is developed by the project team. These relationships should be logical enough to understand and follow. Predecessor and successor activities show the relationship between the activities. A predecessor activity comes before an activity and a successor activity comes after an activity. Logical relationships can be of different types. One of them is called start to start (SS). Start to start is a logical relationship which shows that a successor activity cannot be started unless the predecessor activity is started. For example, in marketing, user documentation (predecessor) should be started in order to start the marketing brochure preparation (successor).
