Scope Statement Notes:
In the planning phase of the project, the most important thing is to define the project scope. A project scope statement must be established to understand the statement of work that is to be performed to carry out the project. A scope statement includes both product and project scope. It also documents the list of deliverables in detail. A scope statement provides a baseline that can be used to compare the actual performed work with the planned one to control the direction of the project. The project scope statement includes scope description of the product, key deliverables, acceptance criteria based on which the customer will accept or reject the project or any of the deliverables, and project exclusion (out of scope activities).
