When a contract is made between customer organization and a contractor, it is important to monitor the performance of the contractor in comparison to the contract. The terms and conditions of the contract must be met and the issues between the two contracting parties should be resolved. An individual who is responsible to perform all these tasks is called contract administrator. The need for contract administrator depends upon the size of the contract. As large contracts are more prone to issues and problems, a contract administrator is needed to resolve the issues and ambiguities. The functions of a contract administrator includes warranties, waivers, contract breach, payment schedules, project termination, subcontractor management, project closeout etc.
