Latest finish time (LF) is the latest time by which a particular activity must be completed in order for the entire project to be finished by its required completion time.

Latest Finish Time Notes:
A project must be divided into the tasks and activities in order to assign and perform the tasks on time. After this division or breakdown, the sequence of the activities is established. Sequence alone is not suffiecient to know the timley completion of the project. In order to understand this, activity durations are extimated. One concept in the network diagram is to calculate the latest finish time of an activity. Latest finish time, as the name indicates, shows the latest time on which an activity must be finished in order to complete the project on time. For calculating latest finish time, the required completion time of the project and the succeeding activities' duration estimates are considered. Latest finish time of an activity should be the same or earlier than the earliest of the latest start times of all the activities that directly succeed the said activity.
