Organizational Behavior by Stephen P. Robbins, Timothy A. Judge
Work Team Notes:
A team of representatives that works semi-autonomously on repeating assignments. Work groups are most valuable where occupation substance changes regularly and representatives with constrained aptitudes and a particular arrangement of obligations can't adapt. The motivation behind making groups is to give a structure that will expand the capacity of representatives to take an interest in arranging, critical thinking, and basic leadership to more readily serve clients. Ordinarily, when you're enlisted or advanced into a position of authority, the group is now there. You need to adjust your thoughts and plans to fit the information, aptitudes, and capacities of the current group. In any case, now and then, you get the opportunity to make your very own group. It can occur on unique tasks when you're pulling individuals from various offices, or when you are making another office.
