Electrons which are not associated which a particular atom are called delocalised electrons.

Delocalized Electrons Notes:
A delocalized electron is defined as an electron in an atom, ion or molecule which is not associated with any single atom or a single covalent bond. Delocalized electrons are spread across more than one atom. This means that they are not restricted to a particular atom. In the case of hydrocarbons, delocalisation occurs in Benzene rings in which a hexagon of six carbon atoms has delocalised electrons. These are spread over the whole ring. In case of metals, these electrons carry current.
