Discharge (D) Notes:
In chemistry, the term discharge is used to indicate the flow of ions specifically in an electrochemical cell. During electrolysis, there is oxidation and reduction occurring at anode and cathode. In this process, ions are released and then these ions form atoms or molecules. This is called discharge. The term is also used for electrons when electrons are released.
