Coccobacillus Notes:
Coccobacilli (plural) are the bacteria that have a shape, which resembles that of cocci (spherical) and bacilli (rod-shaped). Coccobaccili, which are very short rods, can be mistaken for cocci. Chlamydia trachomatis, Gardnerella vaginalis and Haemophilus influenza are some examples of coccobacilli.
