Antigenic determinant, also known as epitope, is a region or portion on antigen that stimulates an immune response. Epitope on the antigen is any foreign protein that binds with the antigen receptor present on the surface of B cell. This binding occurs if both the structure: antigenic protein and receptor are complementary to each other.
