Acyclovir Notes:
Acyclovir is a manmade analog of purine, which helps to block the synthesis of DNA in certain viruses such as herpes simplex, herpes zoster and chicken pox viruses. These synthetic drugs are used to treat viral infections such as cold sores (around mouth), chickenpox and shingles. Genital herpes can also be treated by using this medication. This drug will not cure the disease but help to alleviate the symptoms for all of the diseases mentioned above.
