Compromised Host Notes:
A Compromised (or immunocompromised) host is a term used to refer to an individual who has one or more deficiencies in the immune system (defense mechanism). Such a person is more susceptible to infections termed as "opportunistic infections". Some of these organisms are otherwise considered non-pathogenic or rarely cause infections in normal healthy beings.
