Chemoautotroph Notes:

A Chemoautotroph is an organism that can synthesize its own organic molecules by the fixation of CO2. Such organisms can produce their source of food or energy on their own. They get their required energy for the process from the oxidation of inorganic molecules like magnesium, sulphur or iron. Due to their lack of dependence on outside sources of carbon, other than CO2, Chemoautotrophs are able to thrive in harsh environments like deep-sea thermal vents, lava beds etc.
