Booster Notes:

Booster dose is an additional dose of a vaccine after a prime dose. A booster dose or booster injection is given to re-expose the body to the immunizing antigen. The intention of giving a booster dose is to increase the immunity against the antigen to the protective levels, after the memory cells against this antigen have declined.
