Amphibolism is the term that is used for all those metabolic pathways, which lead to anabolic and catabolic results. Liver causes beta-oxidation of fatty acids is the example of amphibolism. The Krebs Cycle is a good example amphibolic pathway as it involves both catabolic and biosynthetic processes.
