ABO Blood Group System Notes:
ABO blood group system is the categorization of human blood groups based on the hereditary properties of RBCs (erythrocytes) as indicated by the presence or absence of the A and B antigens that are present on the RBCs surface. The blood groups people may have are type A, B, O or AB blood. Karl Landsteiner established this system in 1904.
