Agglutinogen Notes:
Agglutinogens are substances, which act as antigens to help produce specific agglutinin. These are proteins in nature and are present on the RBCs surface in blood. These types of agglutinogens help to determine the type of blood in a person. Blood type B has agglutinogens B, type A has agglutinogens A and type AB lacks agglutinogens on the RBCs surface.
