Chromatic Aberration Notes:
Chromatic Aberration, in optics, is actually a failure of the lens to focus all colors to the same point. The reason behind this phenomenon is dispersion: the refractive index of the lens varies according to the wavelength of light. The refractive index of most transparent materials is inversely proportional to the wavelength, i.e., it decreases with increasing wavelength.
