Organelle Notes:
Organelles are much like organs of the body in terms of function. They are small compartments inside the cell embedded in the cytoplasm and have certain function. The organelles in eukaryotic cells are usually membrane enclosed in contrast to prokaryotic cells. An example of an organelle is the ribosome that has the function of translation of mRNA to proteins in the cell.
