Essential element Notes:

The elements that are required for plants to complete their lifecycle are called essential elements. Plants contain small amounts of 90 or more elements, only 16 of which are known to be essential to plants. These elements are: Carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, sulfur, boron, manganese, copper, zinc, molybdenum and chlorine. As organism needs the essential elements for survival and the lack thereof will lead to the deterioration or death of an organism. The classic examples of essential elements are carbon, nitrogen, oxygen and hydrogen that make up approximately 96% of the human body.
