Readiness is the willingness of an employee to learn something new and perform a specific task. It shows the ability of an employee to prepare for the responsibilities assigned to him/her and perform it effectively. Readiness consists of two types of variables. They include psychological skills and technical skills. Psychological skills revolve around the behavioral characteristics of a person e.g. self-confidence. The technical skills are the job related skills of a person e.g. technical expertise etc. It is the job of a leader to help the team members become capable of doing their job/designated tasks and boosts confidence in them.
