Technical Performance Analysis Notes:
Risks associated with the projects must be identified. After the identifiication, it is important to asses those risks on the basis of their chances of occurrence and effect on the project. This assessment is needed in order to develop response plans for the risks. Not only the response plans are important to be implemented, but also risks must be monitored after the implementation. Different techniques are used to monitor risks. One of them is called technical performance analysis. Technical performance analysis, just like its name, involves comparison of actual technical achievements and the planned ones. The project objective, the schedule of technical accomplishments and specific performance measures are involved while performing technical performance analysis. Typical performance measures that can be used in this type of analysis are capacity, weight, transaction time etc. Deviation of actual performance from the planned one is considered to be the effect of a potential project risk.
