A project is a temporary effort which aims to achieve a specific objective by performing a series of tasks with a proper sequence. A project is a one-time endeavor. It involves some limited resources i.e. material, people, equipment etc. and the time constraint is limited. Some attributes are associated with a project that involves having a specific objective, tasks of the project being interdependent, limited resources, specific time duration of both the tasks and the overall project, being a unique one-time activity, having a customer that requires a set of deliverables to be provided through the project and a degree of uncertainty. Examples of a project include constructing a building or a house, launching a missile, organizing a function etc.
