Organizations work with different resources and assets. These can include plans, policies, processes, procedures, knowledge etc. They are generally termed as organizational process assets. The organizational process assets influences the organization's management and are specific to the organization. Organizational process assets involve the knowledge or practice of one or more organizations that are part of the project. Organizational process assets also include the experience of the organization performing the project from the previously performed projects. They can include schedule, risk data, earned value etc. OPA are internal to the organization so, the management of the firm can update them accordingly. OPA's are categorized as; processes, policies, procedures, and knowledge base. The first category is not updated by the organization while the second one can be updated throughout the project.
